Raid Of Long Island Cigar Shop Leads To Drug Charges For Central Jersey Man: Police
A raid of a Long Island cigar shop that turned up THC gummies led to drug charges for four men, including one from New Jersey.
Ujaval Darji, 27, of Monmouth Junction, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after the bust at Bellmore Cigars, Vapor, Lotto Store, in Bellmore earlier this week, the Nassau County Police Department reported.
Police said officers executed a search warrant and discovered that the THC gummies were being sold at the location. The three other men arrested were:

A tambourine-shaking, arms-raising, former NYPD spokeswoman became the latest person charged criminally in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, thanks to yet another anonymous tipster, according to the FBI.
Sara Carpenter, 51, who left the force in 2004, surrendered to the FBI in Queens early Tuesday, federal authorities said.

Alexis Laguerra, 30, of Brooklyn, Raymond “Rambo” Soto, Jr., 30, and Raymond “Razor” Soto, Sr., 48, both of Richmond Hill, pleaded guilty at the federal courthouse in Central Islip last year to their roles in a bank larceny involving the theft of an armored car in November last year.

Eight people, including three Long Islanders, have been arrested in connection with running a massive misbranded opioids operation out of a warehouse in Queens.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the "ring" imported misbranded controlled substances, including Tramadol, into the U.S. from India. They would then repackage the pills and mail them to millions of customers throughout the U.S.
